Girls in rural Ghana face many barriers to completing school. The Self-Help International Teen Girls Club supports girls to stay in junior high school and advance to senior high school through supplemental academic support in English reading and writing skills, life skills and sexual and reproductive health education, and training in skills that can generate income.
An important aspect of the Teen Girls Club is building self-confidence. You can help uplift teen girls in Ghana by making Valentines with words of encouragement during our Share the Love Happy Hour.
Girls who stay in school become women who are healthier, earn more, and raise better-educated children.
Together, we are launching a new cycle of empowered women and girls.
